About this Poople game

Poople Games, at pooplegames.com, is an independent word ladder experience inspired by the gameplay of Poople, created by MsAsterisk. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original creator. Poople and other game names belong to their respective owners.

What we built

The interface, clay character, animations, game state machine and shortest-path solver are made for this project. Our daily sequence begins at #1 with our own curated 100-puzzle collection. This site’s daily numbers and answers are independent of the original game’s.

Our 2,185 accepted four-letter spellings are checked against Princeton WordNet 3.0, including documented inflected forms. Every curated start and every word in its shortest route has a lexical record, and each connection changes exactly one letter. WordNet is a lexical database for English; it is not affiliated with this game.

A shortest path is calculated by breadth-first search through the accepted words. We verify the 100 curated routes against an independent minimum-distance search and check every one-letter transition. The interface reveals hints progressively; a daily solution is published on the dedicated Answer page, folded until you choose to open it. Current and past published challenges have permanent level pages; only ended days enter the archive.

There is no account, timer or guess limit. Your progress and stats stay in your browser. Optional visit analytics are described in our privacy policy. Hints and revealed paths mark a result as assisted, and practice games stay separate from your daily streak.
